Terms of Business

We have made shopping with GDAS as easy and convenient as possible, and most importantly of all safe and secure. 

We deliver to the mainland UK only. All prices are shown in pounds sterling which is the currency in which we accept payments.

As you browse the GDAS website you can add products and services to an electronic 'shopping cart' by following the links. Your order will be added to the 'shopping cart' which will hold everything for you until you are ready to checkout. 

You can view the contents of your cart at any time by clicking the 'in your cart' link at the top right of the screen.

Purchasing Online with Us

When you are ready to purchase your goods simply click on the 'in your cart' link at the top right of the screen 

You will then see a summary of your order. Once you are happy with your order just press the Go to Payments. Next you will be asked for your address and the delivery address.  

We accept credit and debit cards on-line via a secure server. When you press continue you will then enter the secure server at Paypal  where you will be asked for all your credit or debit card details. 

Or you can order on-line and send us a cheque in the post. You can find all our contact details on our 'contact us' page.

While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on dispatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.

All instructions and information are in English. The information that you supply will be electronically filed and you may request a copy at anytime.

Delivery and After Sales

If all your ordered items are in stock, your order will be despatched within 14 working days. If there is to be a time delay we will recontact you. Delivery usually takes between 3-7 days.

Postage and packaging is charged at 2.95 for merchandise orders upto 15 and 4.45 for merchandise orders over 15. Services like Sponsorship, Membership, Donations and Buying a Dane in Care a Gift do not attract a charge for postage and packaging.

Should there be a problem with your order upon delivery, you should contact us on 01205 481248 or information@danes.org.uk within 48 hours.

Upon receipt of your order, you have the right to cancel within 7 days. If you wish to exercise this right, you should return the goods (at your own cost) in their original packaging and in the original state when purchased to The Great Dane Adoption Society, Laurels Farmhouse, East Fen Lane, New Leake, Lincs PE22 8JQ. We will then arrange for a full refund. 

Security

The Internet is an exciting and easy way to shop. However some people are understandably concerned about giving their credit or debit card details via the Internet.

We want to assure you that we take our responsibility to keep your information confidential very seriously.

Any payment information you enter is held on the Paypal  payment system. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Once your information reaches Paypal, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Their servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorised computers.

Your credit or debit card details are never seen by us.

It is also worth noting that if your credit or debit card is used fraudulently most banks and card issuers will not hold you responsible for any of the charges.

If you are still uncertain about giving your credit or card details on the internet, then you can still order from us.
